Education or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred and six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Summary:

This position will be unrolling, rolling, and loading hose, as well as loading ladders and testing equipment in an outdoor environment. This position requires extensive traveling in Florida, including occasional weekends and holidays. Room, board and transportation from Clearwater, Florida to the job site are provided. Pay is based on experience.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with unrolling, rolling, and loading hose
  
• Assist with testing hose, ladders, and other firetruck equipment
  
• Load, unload, and stack equipment and materials
  
• Spot trucks or trailers
  
• Set up job site trailer and tear down at the end of the project
  
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  
• Work and cooperate well with a team so team objectives are met
  
• Self-motivated with a customer-oriented approach
  
• Follow instructions and ask questions when not clear on what is expected
  
• Must be able to follow company safety rules and all other company policies, report potentially unsafe conditions, use equipment and materials properly
  
• Other duties may be assigned

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  
• Have a valid driver license or ID and transportation to headquarters in Clearwater, FL
  
• Pass drug screening

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and wet or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, moving mechanical parts, moderately loud noise levels in the work environment.
